Here is Kayli's two month old pic. By now she is social smiling (not just gassy smiles, haha), practicing her vocals, lifting her head higher during tummy time, and has come very very very close to rolling from her tummy to her back! Another exciting thing happened around this time...Kayli started sleeping anywhere from 6-8 hours in a row at night!!! Woo-hoo, more sleep for mom!
At her two month dr. appointment she got her first batch of immunizations which were traumatizing for both baby and mom! I gave her infant tylonol 30 mintues before and took a bottle to the doctor's office. She screamed when they gave her the shots, but after I gave her the bottle she seemed fine.
When we got home I gave her a bath and then she went to sleep. But when she woke up, she was not a happy camper! She screamed and cried and nothing would calm her down. I took her temperature (bytheway, we have five different thermometers but still haven't decided which one is best yet) but it was upper 90's and not 100 so I didn't know if I should give her more medicine. Three hours later I finally gave her more tylonol because I figured she must be in pain even though she didn't have a fever. She slowly calmed down and the rest of the night was fine.
It's scary not knowing what to do when your baby is sick...good thing we have great moms to call and the internet! I hope I know what to do when Kayli gets sick for real next time :)

Tummy Time
At about two and a half months old Kayli was able to lift her head a little while on her tummy and she also started making more sounds. Check out this video and notice her funny face as the video starts, listen for her vocals, and watch for the spit-up :)

1 Month Old!
Here is Kayli's one month old pic. By now she was really focusing on objects and people's faces. And she could recognize and follow my voice!
At my 6 week check-up we also weighed Kayli and she weighed 11 lbs. 6 oz.! She gained her birth weight back and more! She did have a lot of "baby acne" on her face, but everyone said it was normal and that it would go away by itself...and it did :)

Long Time, No Blog...
Ok, so it's almost been a year since I last posted! Wow, times flies...I guess I just haven't caught the blog bug yet :)
So a lot has happened this past year, but there is no way I can catch my blog up, so I'll guess I just have to start with the most important thing that happened...I got pregnant and had our beautiful baby girl in November! Her name is Kayli Mar Chacon, named after three grandparents. Kay is my dad's middle name, Li are the first two letters of my mom's name, and Mar is short for Martha, Kevin's mom's name. After all, she's the first grandbaby on both sides! Here's a pic of Kayli the day she was born.
She came one week early and she weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. When she left the hospital she weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. (nursing burns a lot a calories!). Here's a pic of what she worn home from the hospital, it's the outfit Grandma Lala gave her. Look at all the hair!! :)
